Fabrice Dabertrand, PhD

Principal Investigator

I received my Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 2006 from the University of Bordeaux, France, where I also did a first postdoctoral training, all under Dr. Jean-Luc Morel’s direction. In 2009, I joined the University of Vermont for a second postdoctoral training mentored by Dr. Mark Nelson. There I became Research Assistant Professor in 2014 and then joined the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in 2018.   I like ion channels and outrageously expansive microscopes. As a registered Special Olympics Coach of Colorado and a member of the Ludeman Family Center for Women’s Health Research, I believe science and education are primary vectors of diversity, equity and inclusion. I see the lab as a place for people to grow and one of my major goals is to pass on the passion for research like my mentors did for me.
